Dr. and Mrs. Jimmy H. Stanton

After graduating from Wister High School, Virgie pursued higher education at Southeastern State University in Durant, OK, where she earned her Master’s degree. She then began her teaching career in Lawton, OK, where she made a positive impact on the lives of countless elementary school students. Later, Virgie transitioned to become the librarian at Lawton High School until her retirement in 1994.
