Rustin graduated from Central College in McPherson, Kansas, and attended the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma, to obtain a teaching degree. Her first teaching assignment was in a one room school near Newkirk, Oklahoma. H.C. and Arlene came to Durant, Oklahoma in 1943 for a thirty-day excavation project that developed into a seventy-year, second and third-generation family business in southeastern Oklahoma.
Impact
This scholarship is for students majoring in Education. Recipients must be enrolled full-time and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
